Lauren West, Director of Development & Communications

Lauren has worked with refugee-serving organizations in the U.S. and Lebanon since 2012 in programming, volunteer management, and fundraising and communications. She was proud to serve on various committees for making Houston more welcoming to refugees and immigrants. As a former Rotary Global Scholar, she received her master's degree with a focus on Migration and Diversity from the International Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands. At SCN, Lauren works with donors, organizations, and institutional funders to secure financial support for SCN's programs. She also leads our communications efforts and is available for media requests.
